I love the pictures, particularly from the 1910s-1930s of artists’ intimates. The only drawback is I generally can’t take quite as much time as I would like: sitting can be difficult and tiring, and many people are too busy for extensive multiple sitting so I have to be quick!

This portrait is of friend & author Denise McKinney. I tried to get something of her fierce wit in the picture, in her expression or essence, hopefully it come through for the viewer.
